When the PIR Motion Sensor is triggered the camera will try to notify you through push notifications and/or emails when it detects motions. The PIR motion detection can also trigger an acoustic alarm in the camera's loudspeaker. You can configure how sensitive the sensor should be to changes in its field of view.

Step 1

Launch the app FarmCam 2.0. Choose the camera whose PIR Motion Sensor settings you wish to edit. Select Device Settings (the cogwheel) and then select PIR Motion Sensor.

Step 2

Enable the PIR Motion Sensor through clicking the button. If it is orange PIR is activated.

Step 3

To change the sensitivity settings of the PIR motion sensor choose Sensitivity.

Low sensitivity means that the camera is triggered when larger objekts are moving nearby the camera.

A Medium sensitivity is moderately sensitive and can recognise objects that are not to far away from the camera.

With a High sensitivity setting the camera will recognise every small change in its field of view.

When customizing your settings, please keep in my that the reach of the PIR sensor is approximately 9 to 10 meters.

You can also activate the setting Reduce false alarms.
